What is the difference between a car wash and car detailing?A car wash cleans the outside in minutes. Car detailing is a deep clean of the whole vehicle by hand: the interior vacuumed into every crevice, steamed, wiped and dressed, and the paint hand washed and sealed. Salt, stains and pet hair get their own treatment. A wash is maintenance; a detail is a reset.

Is mobile detailing as good as a detailing shop?The work is the same: professional equipment, including a hot water extractor and a steamer, professional products, and everything done by hand. The difference is where it happens. A shop needs you to drop the car off and collect it later; a mobile detail is done at your home or work while you get on with your day.

Extras such as deep clean upgrade ($50), fabric seat shampoo ($55), carpet & mat shampoo ($55) and seat & carpet shampoo bundle ($90) are priced on their own and only added if you choose them.

What does exterior car detailing include?The Exterior Wash & Ceramic Seal includes: foam pre-spray to lift road grime and salt; hand wash with scratch-free mitts; hand dry to prevent water spots; full wheel and barrel cleaning; tire dressing for a deep black finish; ceramic spray sealant on all painted surfaces for gloss and protection; door jambs fully cleaned; exterior glass cleaned and streak-free. Extras such as clay bar ($50), headlight restoration ($65), trim restoration ($40) and glass hydrophobic coating ($20) are priced on their own and only added if you choose them.

What does a full car detail include?The Full Detail (Interior + exterior) includes: Interior: deep vacuum of every crevice, pocket and under the seats; steam clean of all vents, seams and hard surfaces; full wipe-down of dash, door panels, console and cup holders; protective dressing on all interior plastics and trim; streak-free glass cleaning inside; floor mats washed and treated. How long does a detail take?Full Detail: about 3.5-5 hours; Interior Clean: about 3-4hours; Exterior Wash & Ceramic Seal: about 1.5-2 hours; Headlight Restoration: about 1 hour. A heavily soiled vehicle can take longer, and we say so before starting.

Which areas do you serve?St. John's, Mount Pearl, Paradise and Conception Bay South, plus Torbay, Portugal Cove-St. Philip's, Goulds, Flatrock, Logy Bay, Middle Cove, Outer Cove, Pouch Cove, Bauline, Holyrood, Witless Bay and Bay Bulls. No travel fee anywhere in the St. John's area or the surrounding communities. Further out we still come, there is just a small fee, quoted before you book.

Do I need to provide anything?Just three things: a driveway or private spot to work in, an outside water tap and a power outlet (a plug) we can reach. We bring everything else, from the extractor and steamer to the products and towels, so there is nothing to buy or set up.

Why does the price say starts at, and can it change?Interior and full details start from the price for average condition. If the vehicle turns out bigger than booked, or needs extra work like salt, stain or pet hair removal, we show you the difference at the vehicle and you decide before anything starts. There are no other charges: no fuel levy, no supplies fee, no card fee.

How do I pay?The balance is paid in cash on the day, once the job is done and you have looked the vehicle over. If a first booking needs a small deposit to hold the spot, you will see it while you book; it is sent by Interac e-transfer and comes straight off your total.

How do you get winter salt out of car carpets?Salt is the most common job we see on the Avalon. Our salt removal add-on lifts it out of the carpets and mats with hot water extraction before it eats into the fibres and leaves white stains. Add it to an interior or full detail when you book, or ask for it at the vehicle.

Can you remove pet hair?Yes. Pet hair removal is an add-on to an interior or full detail. Hair woven into seats and carpets needs dedicated tools and extra time, so it is priced on its own instead of hidden in the package. Add it when you book and the price shows before you confirm.

Do I need to be home?No. As long as we can reach the vehicle and it is unlocked or the keys are handed off, you can be at work or out while we work.

What if the weather turns?Some services cannot be done safely in heavy rain or wind. If we need to move your appointment for weather, we find you the next good day, and any deposit you paid carries over in full, with no penalty.

Can I change or cancel my booking?Yes. Every confirmation includes a link to manage your booking, or use the Find my booking page on this site with your reference number.
